Union Berlin thoughts

Who would have thunk it ?!

As previously said I came to Berlin for a football game in 2018 with no more thoughts for the future. I certainly never saw the big changes that would occur im my life due to 1FC Union Berlin.

Because of following the club I made lots of good friends - some who traavelled from overseas to watch - from the UK ,ftom Scandanavia,from the USA, from South America and those (of various nationalities) who live in Berlin.

I was visiting at least once per month and was still wanting to get to more games, Then fate decided to intervene...my circumstances in the UK changed and an Apartment in the right area of Berlin was suddenly available !

To cut to the chase I decided to make the move to Berlin. To be honest its not been plain sailing and I discovered that my German is even worse than I thought! But its worked out for getting to games and for also watching the sucessful Union Berlin Ladies team.

Berlin is a great city with lots going on and if you make the effort to learn the language and go out and meet people its a friendly city despite the reputation that Berliners have !
