Beer & Football
For many people one of the best things about football in Germany is that you can have a beer in the stadium whilst watching the game. Being a mature gentleman I dont relish a trek to the toilet and back during the game so tend to have just the one in the ground but before and after the game I can often be found at eiter Union Tanke( Am Bahndamm) or Abseitsfalle Fan Kneipe (Hämmerlingstr.)

My favourite bar
My favourite bar of all is linked to Union Legend Torsten Mattusschka - Tusches Kick & Rush (Am Generalshof, Köpenick) . Lots of football memorabilia, footie on the TV - often packed out on matchdays. Very friendly with a good atmosphere...but remember that its CASH ONLY and its East Berlin so don't expect them to speak English !
When I go to Tusches I have been known to partake in one or two (possibly more!) Pfeffis - an East German Peppermint Liquer. Its not as bad as it sounds ! I have noticed though that it seems to lead to getting lost,bruises,falling over & memory loss !!! Prost !
